Submit Your Referral Request

What Happens After You Submit Your Referral Request?

We will receive your online or telephone inquiry and match you with a psychotherapist in your city, who will then be in touch to set up a free introductory session. At this introductory session, we understand that the client and the therapist are interviewing each other, and encourage you to honour your gut feeling about whether you can work with the OPCC psychotherapist you’ve been matched with.

The Ontario Psychotherapist and Counselling College Referral Service will work with you to find the best match, and will follow through to make sure we’ve found the right psychotherapist for you.

What is Online Therapy?

Online therapy is mental health therapy where you attend sessions with either a Registered Psychotherapists or one of our training therapists online or by phone. Online therapy sessions can be conducted with RP’s or our student therapists via video or phone sessions. Online therapy means can now replace in-office therapy sessions, so that social distancing can be practiced while you can still receive therapy to support you during this challenging time.

As always, our training therapists can provide low-cost therapy and many of our experienced Registered Psychotherapists provide sliding scale services. Additionally, OPCC Therapists and student therapists follow the CRPO and HIPPA guidelines to ensure your safety.
