Statement of Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that OPC College, with its physical location at Bloor and Spadina in Toronto, operates on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. Today, this meeting place is still home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and learn on this land.

As our college also operates online throughout Ontario, we recognize that our community members are situated on various Indigenous lands across the province. We acknowledge the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge, laws, and philosophies of Indigenous peoples.

We are committed to continuing our learning and understanding of the histories, cultures, and perspectives of Indigenous peoples, and to fostering an environment that respects and honours these diverse contributions to our community.
